Who is ready for spring?

I am! I know it’s just February but I’m already craving spring pieces, I cannot wait to wear them. I love all the trends for Spring/Summer 2018.

While I was looking at the New York fashion week trends, I was picturing the outfits that I would wear. As you know, everybody has their own style.

The clothes you wear help show who you are. For example, a bohemian girl will dress more casual, like comfy t-shirts and jeans with earthy jewelry.

In contrast a sophisticated girl is more likely to choose tailored pieces, like pants, dresses and blazers with classy jewelry, like pearls.

How people dress helps show their personality, and even their mood.

When I check the trends, I take them as an example and usually adapt them to my own style. I’m petite, I have to be careful on proportions and length. You see so many beautiful pieces on tall skinny models but those clothes don’t look good on me!

I’ve found that many people are afraid of fashion forward or trendy pieces, sometimes because of how they compare themselves to the models showcasing the garment, but they shouldn’t be. With the right tools fashion and shopping is fun, so keep these 3 tips in mind:

Know your own style and adapt pieces to fit your personality, though it’s also okay to go out of your comfort zone and try new things!

Proportions. If your upper body is wider than your hips, wear fitted tops and loose bottoms like skirts or wide legs pants.

Shoes and accessories are key; using the right shoes and accessories give the outfit a completed look.

This Longchamp bag is a vintage one that I have had since 2011. You can add any vintage or casual bag to this outfit. Aviators are perfect to complete this look!



This denim shirt is comfortable, what I like about Rails is their fabric is very soft. A lot of the shirts you find out there are traditional cottons and a little more rigid fits. They use something that feels super luxe with a little element of that cashmere feel.


